Hosted by Western Michigan University, the Michigan Society for Neuroscience’s annual chapter meeting celebrated its 50th anniversary! Much of the Johnson lab attended, and many members presented posters, bringing our research to the attention of Michigan’s broader Neuroscience community.
Besides poster presentations, a Data Blitz and several engaging speakers throughout the day, MI SfN provided an opportunity to explore downtown Kalamazoo and the beautiful natural areas throughout.
Following the keynote address by Huda Akil, PhD and the Awards Ceremony, a reception was held at Kalamazoo’s Bell’s Eccentric Cafe. Colleagues new and old enjoyed a cold brew and a taco bar to top off a day full of Neuroscience. We look forward to 2020!
Special congratulations goes to Lauren for being awarded the best graduate student poster presentation–Congrats!
